It depends: It depends on the type of injury.X-rays are mostly useful for an injury to a bone or joint displacement,although sometimes we can see signs of inflammation on them as well.If the injury is a muscle strain, tendon or ligament injury, the xray won't show it.Significant direct trauma to the shoulder should be x-rayed right away.At about 10 days out,a very small break not seen before may be seen.
