Most Likely: You should definitely see your doctor and discuss this with them. Fortunately, there are many choices in medication for illnesses and disorders now. If one medication seems to be causing side effects, other medications - in different drug classes - may be better choices.

Myalgias : The myalgias can be caused by the statin but the diabetes is not. Ask your doctor if you can stop them for a couple of weeks and see if the myalgias go away. Also you can ask to be switched to a different statin. I've found pravastatin has the fewest side effects and if that fails you can give red rice yeast a try, although it's not very potent.
