Things to consider: Muscle aches, pain, or weakness on statin therapy may represent several things. Very low vitamin d levels, as well as low thyroid function, can predispose people to more statin associated muscle symptoms. If one of these is present it should be treated. Some people can tolerate a much lower dose of statin taken every 2 or 3 days. Coq10 may or may not help muscle symptoms. No problem in trying.
