A member asked:

I have a big aphthous(5mm) on my upper gingiva for 4 days, is it normal to have an aphthous on gingiva and gum? are they different from the other ones

Apthos ulcer: Apthos ulcers do not typically occur on the gingiva so you may have something else going on. See a dentist and have this Rea checked.

Yes, it is possible: to have an aphthous on gingiva and gun. Canker sores (mouth ulcers) are the most common oral lesions. Individual ulcers typically last 1-2 weeks. The condition is idiopathic (cause is not known) recurrent aphthous ulcers is usually self-limiting. If concerned see your dentist after 10 days or visit today for laser immediate amelioration.
