Nicotine Withdraw: You could be getting anxiety form a nicotine withdraw. There are over the counter medications that can safely taper and wean your nicotine down in a healthy fashion, so you do not experience the withdraw that you may be now. Feel free to discus with your Dr. as well, Great JOB in quitting!

Smoking & panic : Yes, withdrawal from nicotine can create panic attacks and 'anxiety'. But its not really anxiety. Its the chemical changes going on in your body. A 2 pk/day habit will eventually destroy you. Smoking ages your skin and causes you to smell bad to non-smokers. To ease withdrawal, see a physician and get on a smoking cessation program that uses a nicotine patch.

YES!!: You can and do not pick the habit again because of it. Exercise, think of nice things, maybe do some yoga... If the "cold turkey" is not working maybe use Nicorette (nicotine gum) gum... PLEASE DO NOT START SMOKING AGAIN

Yes : Nicotine is a medicine that provides anxiety relief. Stopping it can certainly bring on a panic attack if you depend on nicotine for anxiety relief. Try exercise and you might need to see a therapist also to get over those feelings.
