No cough medicine: All cough syrups are contraindicated in babies. If the cough is not severe, you may try to rub Vicks on the soles of the feet (Canadian study) and then put on socks, works very well for about 4 hrs. If the cough worsens, see his pediatrician in case it might be due to RSV or flu virus, or bronchitis.
