I got an ultrasound to rule out a ectopic pregnancy but fallopian tubes don't even show up on ultrasounds so what's the point of an ultrasound?

See embryo position: Over 90% of ectopic pregnancy occurs in Fallopian tube. If pregnancy is in uterus , less than 1 in 10000 chance it is also in tube. So ultrasound done to confirm pregnancy in the right place.
