Try just breast: It really is almost essential that you do just breast for the first two weeks after birth. Your newborn needs feed often at breast to stimulate your milk production so it is adequate and comes in. Also needs to learn proper latching and sucking which is VERY different than from a bottle nipple. In extreme circumstances, such as if the baby is very jaundiced or dehydrated, then formula may be used.
