A member asked:

Nuclear good/normal at rest. moderate 2 severe ischemia w/ stress. ef50%, lv function and size normal. bp 119/63, great chol, eat good and exercise (sob), cath in 3 days. is plaque the only answer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe: The nuclear stress is about 90% accurate. LBBB can create "false positive" where the test is abnormal and the patient is OK. Other artifacts can also cause a test to be abnormal if the patient is OK. The coronary angiogram is the only way to be sure. The options are cath or CTA. It sounds like your physician has elected to proceed with cath, which sounds reasonable.
