Punched in the mouth and upper lip is split and swollen, got 3 stitches. how long should it take for swelling to go down (days, weeks?) any tips?

Lip: Ice packs, Sleep propped up on two pillows, ibuprofen. Swelling will slowly go down over 3-5 days. Av.oid fighting

About 10 days: Or maybe less... The first 36 hours icing is essential... after that warm compresses work
