A part can be CBT!: Especially since you are a young adult, CBT skills to avoid, reduce and manage stress, anxiety and panic are a wonderful investment. It can make your whole life work better. Unlike medication, you learn how to do things differently w/out side effects or withdrawal. If the therapist thinks pills can help too - that's okay. It's quite possible to overcome panic disorder. Best wishes!

Panic Attacks: can be treated with psychotherapy & /or psychiatric medications. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) & behavior therapy can be effective. Medications such as SSRI's or SNRI's may be used.
