Does tbhq make oils more or less healthy?

Some info 2 consider: TBHQ is a highly effective antioxidant. In foods, it is used as a preservative for unsaturated vegetable oils & many edible animal fats. Its primary advantage is enhancing storage life. It is also added to varnishes, lacquers, resins, & oil field additives. Prolonged exposure to high doses of TBHQ may be carcinogenic, especially for stomach tumors. Now what do you think...?
