Interesting : Tough call. The tests u have had are great tests, but that u don't have any pain is a positive. Mild transient elevations if lipase don't necessarily justify a EUS, but I don't know your full history and the doctor that has been following you does. His/Her concern is a pancreatic head or duct tumor. Unlikely stone concern as that would cause pain.

Incidentally found high lipase numbers, fluctuates to normal to high. Ct scans contrast, upper gi, ultrasound. Recent mrcp normal. Asymptomatic, no fam history. All 4 gastros say benign condition.
Is EUS dangerous test for someone who just has elevated lipase numbers without symptoms and clear MRCP, CT, colonscopy and battery of test? Worried about Pan Can, I have no family history. Only 32 y/o
Could I have pancreatitis even if mrcp, ultrasound, & CT scan do not show any abnormalities? Lipase normal. Amylase 124 (reference range: 28 to 100).
