Try topical therapy: To minimize side effects, topical therapy like heat, massage, capsaicin cream &lidocaine patches are often helpful. It's important to remember that some degree of musculoskeletal discomfort is to be expected with age, and getting our mind to focus on other things is really important. Gradual exercise helps. Stronger pain meds should be used only occasionally due to life-threatening side effects.
