Cardiologist may try and blanket my symptoms and not order a scan to find the root cause of inflamed plaque. what should i say. i struggle with words?

Ask why.: I am unaware of any test that can find the root cause of inflamed plaque. If the symptoms are driving you crazy then treating the symptoms seems to make a good deal of sense. Ask your doc for a good explanation - if you are uncomfortable seek another opinion, but don't go second guessing all your docs. You cardiologist has many many years of training.
