Sepsis is dangerous : Having medical diseases like coronary artery disease (CAD) make the patient at higher risk for complications and death when ill with an infection. Sepsis is defined by the presence of an organism- usu bacteria- that has to be proved..plus evidence of the body fighting the infection. In this case I wonder if the pt really had sepsis or just heart failure from a big heart attack? Organs fail in both
