Edema in pregnancy: Following your last question, if your swelling is not acute in onset it may just be a normal process in pregnancy, there are a few things you can do to reduce it: avoid caffeine, limit salt intake, rest with your legs elevated, use support stockings, avoid being outdoors when it's hot, consume potassium containing foods like banana and orange.
