A member asked:

I want to know if sleeping during the day for most of the week can cause any health issues?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes and no: Sleeping itself should not cause any health concerns, but the reason why you sleep during the day may be of concern. Some have obstructive sleep apnea and feel tired during the day and need to take a nap and that's not good and needs to be resolved. Some work at night and have to catch up on their sleep during the day. Sleeping > 10 hours/day for adults has been linked to adverse health outcomes.
