What doctor do i go to to check if i have optic neuritis ? a regular ophthalmologist? or is there a specific doctor ?

?diagnosis: Optic neuritis causes loss of vision, pain on eye movements, and color desaturation, usually in just one eye. An ophthalmologist is a good place to start, but you may need involvement of neurology at some subsequent point. If you have visual issues, do NOT delay, contact your doctor now.

Most could do this: There are some very basic tests for optic neuritis that any doctor - your primary, an optometrist or classic ophthalmologist can do. If it is subtle or if test results are conflicting then a neuro-ophthalmologist the specialist to see to make a final diagnosis.
