A member asked:

Can on decolax be taken daily to help keep me regular?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Laxatives: It is not advisable to treat chronic constipation with daily laxatives like dulcolax. Adequate hydration and sufficient fiber in the diet are better ways. A gentle stimulant like senokot daily is less harsh. A gastroenterologist is best qualified to evaluate and treat you and, if advisable, prescribe Amitiza (lubiprostone) to treat stubborn cases.
