It happens: Omeprazole works well for many patients with reflux and small hiatal hernias. In some cases it is not enough and additional treatment, or even surgery may be needed. Be certain to keep a log of the frequency, timing, position, relation to meals and severity of your symptoms. This will help your doctor to help you.
