Depression : Depression can manifest in a variety of symptoms : sadness , excessive sleep during the day , early awakening , loss of appetite , lack of communication , self isolation , loss of enjoyment . Fear of leaving the house as withdrawal gets worse . There is no effective OTC Meds , but some say St John's wart may help . Read up on how to use it . See a health care professional for treatment .

In addition to the: psychological effects, physical effects of depression include increased aches/pains, chronic fatigue, less interest in sex, poor sleep and appetite, higher risk of disease by increasing of stress hormones levels (cortisol, adrenaline), affects the immune system making it harder for your body to fight infection, and increases risk for heart disease and substance abuse. Seek professional help.
