Any over-the-counter help for someone with clinical depression?

Exercise: Exercise is the best medicine for depression. Run to the pharmacy and don't buy anything every day. Eat a healthy diet and maybe take some fish oil caps. Eat a nice piece of dark chocolate while reading an inspirational book. None of the other otc suppliments have been shown better than placebo and some are dangerous. If your depression is severe enough to impact your life get real treatment.

No: For those with clinical depression, i would not recommend any over the counter supplement, vitamin, herbal or other. Clinical depression is a serious illness which can be lethal. Don't go it alone trying to self treat. Find a psychiatrist and/or therapist you trust and work with them. If cost is a factor, there are many good, generic medications. Please get help soon and don't delay.

Yes: Acupuncture and exercise both increase endorphins. Which can relieve mild depressive symptoms.
