Hi Tracy!: I think I answered this question a few minutes ago. I don't recommend Seroquel (quetiapine) for insomnia UNLESS it's caused by bipolar illness (manic-depressive illness). My other recommendations still apply! Best wishes. Dr. Anne

Not recommended: Seroquel (quetiapine) is an anti-psychotic medication used for serious psychiatric disorders. It is not recommended as a sleeping aid. Talk to your pcp to find cause and preferred meds if necessary. Best wishes.

Seroquel (quetiapine): Is beneficial for sleep in those who suffer with bipolar disorder or psychotic disorders. It can be a sedating med, however it is not a sleep aid. If you do not suffer with one of these illnesses but are having insomnia, please have an evaluation to determine the best course of action to treat your insomnia. Good luck!

Do not agree: I would not try it as firs line therapy. You can do a lot with sleep hygiene measures. YOU CAN GOOGLE THE TOPIC.

Yes: Seroquel 25 mg is OK to take for sleep problems. There are other alternative meds also.
