PCOS symptoms: Yes, there can be masculinization. The elevated androgens in PCOS can have a broad spectrum of manifestations, from irregular periods only, to mild hirsutism to more severe changes such as male pattern of hairline, body hair in male places (chest, abdomen), etc. The level of testosterone or DHEA does not always predict this. See your endocrinologist or Gyn.
