A member asked:

What to do if i have poc (polycystic ovarian syndrome), will it cause cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Risk may increase: Polycystic ovarian syndrome (pcos) is thought to increase the risk of endometrial (e.g. Uterine) cancer. It is usually caught early though in pcos patients and is usually cured. A gyn will monitor for this. Women with pcos may also have a slightly increased risk of breast and ovarian cancers but it not high enough that any special or different screening needs to be done.
