Find the cause: Pityrospirum folliculitis is often missed and is easy to treat if recognized. You maybe given topical ketoconazole, or a big oral dose followed by working up a sweat. Or any of a variety of meds that manage ties versicolor. A bacterial folliculitis needs to be checked to see if the bacterium originally cultured may have changed or become resistant. Best wishes.
