Depends: Are you taking prenatal vitamins WITH IRON? Please check with your doctor. Depends on what your hemoglobin and hematocrit are and the pattern during your pregnancy--also if you are symptomatic--and how your physical exam is. Please see your physician.

Iron or Hgb?: If iron level low, no, need iron supplement to replenish more quickly. If hemoglobin is 7, would depend on how much blood loss occurs with delivery and how you are doing physiologically (BP, heart rate, energy level, etc.).
