A member asked:

For about 2 yrs, certain foods feel like they get stuck in my chest causing major discomfort and regurgitation. what are some symptoms of aspiration?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Wheezing: Aspiration occurs when you inhale food or water which causes choking, wheezing and infection of the lungs. Your symptoms sound more consistent with an esophagus problem. You can have narrowing of the esophagus or spasms in the esophagus that cause food to get stuck. Acid reflux can cause this as well.
