A member asked:

Certain foods-never liquids-feel like they get stuck in my sternum causing pain and often regurgitation-if i aspirate what would the symptoms be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Aspiration: You will have a hard time breathing. Aspiration means that fluid goes into your lungs and not into your stomach. If the swallowing is a constant problem, see your doctor, you may need and EGD.
