Panic disorder?: The symptoms you describe are consistent with sxs of panic attack (which incl anxiety, heart palpitations, shortness of breath, choking feeling, chest pain, sweating, feelings of going crazy or serious adverse medical event). psychiatric diagnoses are "diagnoses of exclusion" - meaning all other medical problems shu be ruled out first. If medically all nl, talk to ur doc abt tx 4 anxiety d/o.

Both: Anxiety is one of the precursors for panic disorder and panic attacks which cause a sudden rush of adrenaline, and cortisol in our body. This is the "Fight or flight" reaction, except that u may not be in a dangerous situation. U'r heart starts beating a lot harder&faster, u'r Blood Pressure shoots up, breathing becomes rapid and shallow which can cause dizziness as u blow off too much CO2.
