16 MONTHS OLD &cough: Cough in a sixteen month old especially at night needs to be ealuated if it is persistent as it cab be due to bronchial asthma and the reatment has to be with inhaled steroids and bronchodilaters, so take your baby to your pediatrician for check up anf proper treatment.The other causes like viral uper resp infections dont need any therapy as it gets better by itself, no cough medicines.
