A member asked:

My daughter has a low blood count and i was told she could not gain 1 pound but she is so little now will it hurt for her to eat due to the low blood?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

I don't understand: I don't understand your question. If she has a low red blood count (anemia) , she needs to eat healthy foods which contain iron- meats and green leafy vegetable mainly. It doesn't make sense that she would be told not to eat. Please check with your child's doctor to find out what is recommended.
