Reason for testing: What was the reason for testing to start with? were you suspecting some kind of immune problem? Repeat the test in another lab first before judging, selective IgA deficiency is not uncommon, and not dangerous, many people do have it with normal healthy life, check with an allergist/Immunologist for better understanding, check aaaai.org or acaai.org for an allergist in your area, take care

Common: If kids have an unusual number of ear/sinus & diarrheal infections a doc may do a screening of the immunoglobulin levels.These levels are driven by genetic information.When IgA levels are low, these kid may be more susceptible to many of these minor illnesses.It does give you a reason for the problems, but treatment would require a monthly infusion of IGA, which would not be worth the risk
