Be evaluated: Symptoms for a UTI and STD can be similar, depending on the STD. The only way to know for sure is to see your doctor for an exam, urine test and cultures. A urine test alone can be positive with both UTI's and STD's, so the evaluation and culture are needed. Dryness is not necessarily common in either case.
