A member asked:

What to do if i was diagnose with streptococcus agalactiae group b but i am not pregnant help please!?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It depends: These streptococci are around and can be harmless hangers-on. Your physician can advise you whether this is causing you an infection -- the location and severity determine the symptoms, rather than the bacterium itself -- and if it is, how best to manage it.
