Diabetes & blood pressure problem. who can i talk to about this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

DM & HTN: Diabetes and HTN often accompany each other. In some patients, it is because of obesity, which creates insulin resistance, hyper secretion of insulin, salt retention, and rising BP. In others, kidney injury from DM elevates BP. Data show that lowering BP to less than 130/80 is essential in DM. Protects kidneys, heart, brain. ACEI are optimal for HTN rx in DM. Protects kidneys and arteries best
