High blood pressure is a silent killer. Over decades it can quietly damage kidneys/eyes/the heart and reduce lifespan. I would want to see it reduced. Lifestyle changes may bring it into line or meds may be needed. Arrange a doc visit when it is convenient. This is not an urgent care or ER visit level but it deserves an evaluation.

A blood pressure of 137/86 is elevated if measured under ideal conditions. If you have a family history, your BP should be monitored by your doctor and salt restriction and scrutiny of concomitant medication therapy likely to elevate your BP undertaken. Early diagnosis and institution of general measures are important. Please see your doctor for evaluation and follow-up.
