What to do if i failed a drug test, testing positive for amphetamine. i had previously taken nuvigil, could that b the cause?

Not if they did: confirmatory testing, which is required in forensic settings where drug testing is done under some legal compulsion. However, even if they just did screening tests, Nuvigil and Provigil are not chemically related to amphetamines and would not give a positive result.
