A member asked:

Is it true that "swaddling clothes" is dangerous to infants?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly: Babies can get tied up in their bedding and suffocate. It would be most likely when they begin to wiggle out of their swaddling and turn.I encourage parents to loosen initial swaddling gradually so baby adapts to the extra room.By a month of age they need to be alone in the crib with no bedding/pillows/etc.
