A member asked:

Is it safe to put my baby to bed swaddled? or is that a risk of sids?

No increased risk: Bundling babies should not increase the risk of SIDS providing they are put on their back to sleep, their nose and mouth are not covered, and wrap is not too tight.

No , but: Swaddling should gradually be loosened and removed from the crib as soon as the babies need for is subsides. As babies begin to move in their sleep they can become wrapped up and suffocate in the bedding.I try to end swaddling by 1 month.
