Possibly: Hemangiomas are irregular collections of blood vessels, in this case beneath the skin. Warmth or redness of skin may be a sign of infection or inflammation. While steroids are used to reduce inflammation, they can increase risk of infection. In addition, steroids can thin in the lining of certain tissues and blood vessels, increasing the risk of bleeding in the setting of trauma.
