Why did my daughter have a cut on her head when she was born? it was emergency c-section . her blood vessels were popped and head was cone shaped.

Head cut etiology: Your child's head could have been cut by abrading against the pubic bone during labor(cone shaped head) or even the scalpel in a dire emergency C/S. What is important is that your daughter is here, well and developing as cuts do heal.

C/section risk: The OB cuts through the layers of the uterus during the C-section to reveal a balloon like baby container.The distance between the last layer of uterus and the balloon like lining is the width of a thick sheet of paper.The baby & container presses tightly against the wall. Occasionally the knife nicks baby at what ever point they are under the cutting edge. Shallow nicks heal quickly.
