Plantar Fasciitis: A Lidocaine patch may help with the pain in plantar fasciitis but it won't effectively treat the condition. For plantar fasciitis, anti-inflammatory medications such as ibuprofen, naproxen, etc. might be more effective. Other options include Cortisone injections as well as physical therapy. For long-lasting results, custom orthotics are recommended. If all else fails, surgery may be warranted.
