Are you exercising?: A good healthy way to put on weight is to build up muscle mass. Assuming you have no heart problems or other reasons for which your doctor has advised against exercise, you may want to consider a program of weight training (plus aerobic exercise) 4-5 times a week for 45-60 minutes per session. You may want to consider joining a gym that offers classes at least as a starting point.
