A member asked:

I am having a cardiac catheterization done in the next month for asd repair. during the process, will i be put under anesthesia or just sedated.

Sedated : The procedure is usually done with local anesthesia with or without sedation through an IV. This question is more appropriately answered by the cardiologist or cardiac surgeon doing the procedure. Good luck Tim!!

Depends on you: Pain is not much. Anxiety or movement can make it dangerous by moving around. Talk with cardiologist. Some if the sedation is very good!
