With normal anatomy does their upper palate touches the lower palate uptill epiglottis when their mouth is closed? pls pls send the reply yes or no.

Throat anatomy: I'm afraid it's not a simple yes or no answer. There isn't a lower palate and an upper palate. There's a hard palate and a soft palate. Neither of them touches the epiglottis when the mouth is closed. The soft palate descends into the throat from the back of the hard palate, and lays behind the tongue when the mouth is closed and during breathing and swallowing. The epiglottis is much lower down.
