High triglycerides.: No. A good primary care doctor can easily treat this with diet and medication.

High triglycerides : Just talk to your son about healthy nutrition and regular exercise. Recommend cutting back on soda, fruit juices, desserts and other sweets. Have him repeat his lab test in 3 - 4 months time. It is not necessary to see a specialist at this time. His pediatrician should be able to answer most of the questions.
