See below. : Have you pcp review findings with radiologist who read study. Depending upon degree of suspicion of the area, radiologist may only request a short term follow up, pre and post contrast CT, or possibly MRI. The follow up will also depend upon any other findings or symptoms you may have.

Obtain follow-up: A small cyst in the liver is common and most likely benign, particularly in the absence of a history of cancer. Since the ultrasound could not confirm that your lesion was a simple cyst, you could get a follow-up ultrasound in about 6 months to make sure it stays the same. If you did have a history of cancer and needed to know right away if your lesion was suspicious, an MRI would be useful.
