Primary doc better: Hi. Yes, you can go to the ER. All you need is a TSH and free T4 (and I'd do a free T3 (liothyronine) too, but they don't need to for screening). The ER will have you there for hours. Your doc will be much faster. And don't forget, it may not be hyperthyroidism - symptoms are not specific for disease, and vice versa. Get checked.
